Cheddar Valley line

The Cheddar valley line was still open for freight traffic from Wells. Here a 'Hymek' type 3 Bo-Bo, no.D7052, approaches Shepton Mallett with a train of ballast wagons. 31.3.66   D7053 heads its ballast train through the disused station at Shepton Mallett (High Street), to the surprise of a local taking a short cut across the tracks. 32.3.66

Weymouth Harbour Tramway

0-6-0 diesel shunter no. D2397 on Weymouth harbour with a Channel Islands boat train. 30.7.63 0-6-0PT no.7782 (complete with bell above the footplate) brings Channel Islands produce from the harbour through the streets to the goods yard. 30.7.63
