1.3.81. Glyder Fawr, 999m; Glyder Fach, 994m; Tryfan, 917m
1981 was in the era of the RDCMC, under whose auspices this trip was arranged, staying in a bungalow near Bettws-y-Coed. The purpose, as well as the normal hill-walking, was to get some practice in the use of ice-axes. A long steep snow-slope under y Garn, above Llyn Idwal, served the purpose well, and the walk then continued over Glydr Fawr, Glyder Fach, and Tryfan.
